Watch history, verified

Every watch has a backstory.

The dial tells the time. Caseback keeps everything else: who owned it, who serviced it, and whether it was ever reported stolen. The record goes to the next owner when you sell.

The green hand tracks UTC. Turn it over to see what Caseback keeps.

Your collection

Every watch, and how complete its story is.

The bar under each watch fills as you add papers, service records, and verifications. Pick one to see what's missing and post today's wrist check.

Privacy

The world sees four digits. We keep a fingerprint.

Full serials help counterfeiters, so Caseback never shows one. We store a one-way fingerprint that lets us match a watch to its record and spot duplicates. Try it with any serial.

Questions

Before you ask

Does Caseback authenticate watches?

No. Caseback records a watch's history and who verified each part of it. It never certifies that a watch is genuine. For authentication, use a qualified watchmaker or a marketplace that offers it.

What does "verified" mean?

A verified record was confirmed by the shop that did the work, from inside their Caseback account, and the shop has passed our manual review of its business and credentials. Records you add yourself are marked as owner-logged.

What happens to the history when I sell?

Ownership transfer is coming after launch. You'll start a transfer, the buyer accepts it, and the full history moves to them. Your name stays off the record.

Does the app use AI?

Yes, to read photos of watches and receipts and to write a short summary of a watch's history. Anything it reads is a draft you check and edit before saving. It never adds records on its own.
